Even with regular moisturizing, your skin may continue to feel dry,

rough, and less firm, with fine lines becoming more noticeable.

When considering PN skin boosters such as Vitaran and Rejuran,

patients often ask about the results as well as the recovery process:

'Will my skin look bumpy after treatment?'
'How long do skin booster bumps and swelling last?'

Because these treatments are injected directly into the skin, small injection marks,

raised bumps, and temporary redness may appear immediately afterward.

If you are scheduling treatment before a photoshoot, wedding,

or another important event, it is helpful to understand the expected downtime in advance.

"Why Do Small Bumps

Appear After a Skin Booster?"

Vitaran and Rejuran are PN skin boosters that are injected directly into the skin.

When small amounts of the product are placed at multiple injection points,

temporary raised bumps may appear on the skin’s surface.

These are commonly called injection bumps or papules.

In Korean clinics, they are also sometimes described as 'embossing.'

The visibility of skin booster bumps can vary according to skin thickness,

injection depth, the amount placed at each point, and the treatment area.

Bumps may be more noticeable around areas with thinner skin, such as the forehead and under the eyes.

Even when the same amount is used, each area of the face may settle at a different rate.

The injection depth, spacing, and treatment range should therefore be adjusted

according to the thickness of the skin and the location of fine lines.

"How Long Do Skin Booster

Bumps and Swelling Last?"

Skin booster bumps are generally most noticeable immediately

after treatment and may gradually settle over several hours to a few days as the product disperses.

Temporary redness, mild swelling, injection marks,

or bruising may also appear around the treated areas.

How quickly Rejuran or Vitaran swelling subsides can vary depending on

the amount injected, the treatment area, skin sensitivity, and individual recovery.

If you have a photoshoot, wedding, or important social event coming up,

avoid scheduling the procedure for the day immediately before it. Allow enough time for the skin to settle.

Contact your medical provider if swelling or pain becomes more pronounced over time,

or if you experience increasing warmth, discharge, or another unexpected reaction.

"When Can You Expect Results

from Vitaran or Rejuran?"

PN stands for polynucleotide, a purified DNA-derived ingredient used in

injectable treatments for concerns such as dryness, rough texture, fine lines, and reduced skin elasticity.

Vitaran and Rejuran both use PN as a key ingredient,

but their formulation, available volume, treatment areas, and injection plans may differ.

Rather than assuming that either Vitaran or Rejuran is always the better option,

treatment should be selected according to skin thickness, dryness, and the location of fine lines.

PN skin boosters do not reshape the face immediately in the way a dermal filler can.

Once the initial swelling has settled, changes in skin texture,

hydration, and fine lines should be monitored gradually.

The timing and degree of visible improvement vary from person to person.

"When Can You Wash Your Face

or Apply Makeup After a Skin Booster?"

Avoid pressing, rubbing, or massaging the injection sites immediately

after treatment unless your medical provider specifically instructs you to do so.

When cleansing, avoid facial scrubs, exfoliating products,

cleansing devices, and other products that may irritate the treated skin.

Makeup should be applied lightly after the injection marks and redness have begun to settle.

The recommended timing may vary according to the injection method

and your skin condition, so follow the instructions provided by your clinic.

At GU Clinic Gangnam in Seoul, we assess skin thickness, sensitivity, dryness,

and the location of fine lines before adjusting the injection depth,

dosage, and treatment areas for Vitaran or Rejuran.

Instead of selecting a treatment by product name alone,

plan your PN skin booster treatment around your skin condition,

expected downtime, and upcoming schedule.
